Volleyball Recap: Texas Academy of Math and Science Gets the Win

The Texas Academy of Math and Science Mean Green Eagles were able to grind out a solid victory over the Byron Nelson Bobcat on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Texas Academy of Math and Science had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-17, 26-24, 25-19.

The win got Texas Academy of Math and Science back to even at 1-1. As for Byron Nelson, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Texas Academy of Math and Science will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Nolan Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Byron Nelson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
