Volleyball Recap: Gainesville Finds Playoff Glory Versus Gateway

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gainesville walked away with it. They blew past the Gateway Panthers 3-0 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Hurricanes sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-16.

Jacey Carter-Mitchell paced Gainesville's offense, picking up ten kills. Carter-Mitchell got some help from Charlotte Judge and her 28 assists. Jorryn Dye controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Gainesville's record now sits at 19-8. As for Gateway, with the loss, they broke their eight-match winning streak and moved their record to 19-6.

Gainesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Legacy on the 29th. Gateway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
