Baseball Recap: Perquimans Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

While Perquimans's win against Tarboro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Vikings on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.

Perquimans' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Coley Drew, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Walker Meads, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Perquimans hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three strikeouts batters in three consecutive matchups.
