Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only McKeel Academy walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Newberry Panthers with a sharp  3-0 win on Tuesday. The  victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won five  matchups in a row.
 McKeel Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Newberry to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14,  25-9.
 Leading McKeel Academy to victory were  Kenza Benchikh and  Hope Ring.  Benchikh  had 15  assists and eight  digs, while  Ring  had seven  digs and one  assist. That's the most  digs  Ring has posted  over her last six  contests.
 Despite the  defeat, Newberry had strong showings from  Raigan Wockenfuss, who  had nine  digs and one  assist, and  Meadow Moses, who  had 11  digs and two  aces. Moses has been hot, having  posted 11 or more  digs the last six times she's  played.
McKeel Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Newberry, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.
 McKeel Academy has already played their next match,  a  3-1  defeat against Montverde Academy on the 25th. Newberry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
