Baseball Recap: Ripley Comes Up Short

Ripley lost against Westview last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 15-5 to the Chargers. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ripley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mekel Frazier, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Alex Caldwell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ripley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Westview, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripley will take on Haywood on Friday. As for Westview, they will challenge McKenzie at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
