Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 3-0. They came out on top against the Hobgood Charter Raiders by a score of 58-45. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-38 last Monday.

Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ke'Shiya Evans out in front who posted 14 points and five steals. Evans is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Alarrah Powell was another key player, putting up 18 points.

As for Hobgood Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3. On the bright side, the 45- point effort marked their highest-scoring game to date.

Hobgood Charter's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Wall, who scored five points in addition to nine boards and four steals.

Coming up, Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy will head out on the road to challenge Rocky Mount Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hobgood Charter, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-51 defeat against North Edgecombe on the 5th.
