Volleyball Recap: Winthrop College Prep Academy Gets the Win

The Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans earned a 3-1 win over the Calvary Christian Warriors on Friday.

Winthrop College Prep Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 25-10.

Winthrop College Prep Academy found their leader in sophomore Emmanuel Reyes, who had five digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Reyes.

Winthrop College Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in March.

Winthrop College Prep Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Calvary Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winthrop College Prep Academy will take on Keswick Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calvary Christian, they will challenge Seven Rivers Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
