Softball Recap: Plainview Takes a Loss

Plainview managed to slip by St. Joseph's - Plaucheville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets came up short against the Eagles on Tuesday, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-17.

Looking ahead, Plainview will be playing at home against Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Grace Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
