Basketball Recap: Flint Hill Comes Up Short

Flint Hill extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-6. They took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Potomac School Panthers. The matchup marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Potomac School, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games.

It was another big night for Logan Jones, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Akim Iscandari, who posted ten points.

Flint Hill will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Poolesville at 3:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Potomac School, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Our Lady of Good Counsel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
