Basketball Recap: Columbia Roughnecks vs. La Grange Leopards

After flying high against Liberty on Thursday, Columbia came back down to earth. The Columbia Roughnecks fell 69-58 to the La Grange Leopards on Friday.

La Grange's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cordale Knapik, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. That's the most points Knapik has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Mathis, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards.

Columbia now has a losing record at 5-6. As for La Grange, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Columbia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-41 win against YES Prep Northwest on the 13th. As for La Grange, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-49 defeat against Liberty on the 13th.
