Basketball Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Gilbert took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of A-D-M. While losing is never fun, Gilbert can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while A-D-M is ranked 35th).

Gilbert has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11-1 record this season. As for A-D-M, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Gilbert has already played their next matchup, a 57-43 victory against Carroll on the 9th. A-D-M has also already played their next game (against Boone), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
