Basketball Recap: St. David Tigers vs. Joseph City Wildcats
St. David and Joseph City squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but St. David had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Joseph City Wildcats 64-36. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 28 points.
Joseph City was led to victory by Audrey Neill and Gabrielle Jesmer. Neill on her way to 22 points in addition to six boards and five steals, while Jesmer en route to 19 points along with seven assists and three steals. That's the most points Jesmer has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Neill, who earned ten points and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for St. David and nudges their season record down to 21-12. As for Joseph City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season.
St. David does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Joseph City, they will challenge Fort Thomas at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Fort Thomas sitting on seven straight wins and Joseph City on three.
