Volleyball Game Preview: Simeon Wolverines vs. Carver Challengers

Simeon is a perfect 4-0 against Carver since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Challengers at 5:00 p.m. Simeon is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Simeon came up short against Victoria Soto and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Carver also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Kelly by a score of 2-0. The Challengers haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Kelly scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Simeon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Carver, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-4.

Simeon beat Carver 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Challengers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
