Basketball Recap: Brewer Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Andee Emerson and Hannah Morrison

Brewer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kate Duncan Smith DAR Patriots. If Brewer was looking for revenge after losing 55-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hannah Morrison and Andee Emerson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Morrison dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards, while Emerson dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Emerson also racked up four steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Aleigha Malin also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steals of the season.

Even though they lost, Brewer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Brewer's record is now 2-22. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

When Brewer and Kate Duncan Smith DAR next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Brewer will try to stop Priceville's ten-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
