Baseball Game Preview: Garces Memorial Rams vs. Bakersfield Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, Garces Memorial will face off against Bakersfield Christian. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Garces Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Garces Memorial took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bakersfield Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Eagles 10-9. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Dominic Banducci was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was AP Antingiovanni, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

Garces Memorial's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 12-14. As for Bakersfield Christian, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7-1.
