West Carteret has gone 9-1 against Richlands recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Patriots will welcome the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. West Carteret's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Richlands' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Monday, West Carteret made easy work of White Oak and carried off an 11-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Josh Johnson was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. West Carteret is undefeated when Johnson posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Austin Motley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
West Carteret was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as White Oak only posted a batting average of .176.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Richlands' offense. They lost 7-0 to Dixon on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Richlands saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marlon Machado, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
West Carteret's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Richlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. West Carteret has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Richlands struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
West Carteret took their victory against Richlands in their previous meeting on April 3rd by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
