Saline entered their tilt with Lincoln on Wednesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Railsplitters. The game was the first time the Hornets have beaten the Railsplitters on their field since May 23, 2018.
Saline got a great performance from Abby Curtis as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Curtis has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Gracie Waldrop was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Elizabeth Onyskin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Saline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.
