Soccer Recap: St. John the Baptist Takes a Loss

St. John the Baptist lost against Chaminade back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Flyers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, St. John the Baptist can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Chaminade are ranked sixth).

St. John the Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Chaminade, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. John the Baptist is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Mary's at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chaminade will face off against rival St. Anthony's at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Chaminade 0.1, St. Anthony's 0.3) so any goals scored will be well earned.
