Basketball Game Preview: Martinsville Bulldogs vs. Dan River Wildcats

The Martinsville Bulldogs will challenge the Dan River Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Martinsville will be strutting in after a victory while Dan River will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Martinsville turned things around against Tunstall on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 37-29.

Meanwhile, Dan River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 51-37 to Appomattox County.

Martinsville's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 7-10. As for Dan River, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Martinsville was able to grind out a solid victory over Dan River when the teams last played on January 8th, winning 47-36. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Dan River's Liza Maxey, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 19 points.
