Baseball Recap: Maricopa Takes a Loss

Maricopa fell victim to Casa Grande and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Casa Grande Cougars. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost seven in a row.

Maricopa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Lopez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. Brady McMullen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Maricopa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Casa Grande, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Maricopa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 loss against ALA - Queen Creek on the 11th. As for Casa Grande, they have also already played their next match, a 15-11 win against McClintock on the 10th.
