Softball Recap: Aurora Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Aurora and Springfield squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Aurora had to settle for second. They lost 12-5 to the Blue Devils. The Greenmen's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Aurora's loss dropped their record down to 26-3. As for Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Aurora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springfield, they will square off against Madison Comprehensive at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
