Hamilton Heights came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Kokomo, but Eliana Stewart wouldn't allow it. Everything went the Kokomo Wildkats' way against the Hamilton Heights Huskies on Tuesday as the Kokomo Wildkats made off with a 58-37 win thanks in part to Stewart, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Those 17 points gave her a new career-high.
The team also got some help courtesy of Regan McClain, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Sarah Sherrill and Katie Brown certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Sherrill went 6 of 8 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds, while Brown went 5 of 11 on her way to 12 points along with seven boards and three steals. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played.
Kokomo's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Hamilton Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
Kokomo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-44 win against Marion on the 20th. As for Hamilton Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-29 victory against Blackford on the 21st.
