Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Holy Trinity and St. Anthony squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Holy Trinity had to settle for second. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Anthony's Friars. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Friars earlier this season, when they won 63-49.

Kevin Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Anthony's, going 6-for-8 en route to 16 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. That's the most steals Moore has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Vieux, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 16 points.

The loss snapped Holy Trinity's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-10 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points over those games. As for St. Anthony's, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

Holy Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Anthony's, they will square off against St. Dominic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
