Softball Recap: Bishop Fenwick Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Bishop Fenwick and Archbishop Williams, and Archbishop Williams kept the tradition alive. The Crusaders fell just short of the Bishops by a score of 10-8 on Friday. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bishops apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Bishop Fenwick now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Archbishop Williams, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Fenwick will venture away from home to square off against Cardinal Spellman at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Archbishop Williams, they will challenge Bishop Stang at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.25 runs per game on average), something the Bishops will no doubt try to take advantage of.
