Van hasn't had much luck against Tug Valley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m.
Van is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Mingo Central. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since March 27th.

On the hitting side, Calli Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Tackett, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Tug Valley's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to George Rogers Clark on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against Huntington by a score of 10-7.
Bailee Hall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Hall was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Tug Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Van, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18.
Van might still be hurting after the 14-6 loss they got from Tug Valley in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
