Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Hamilton Cardinals ended up a good deal behind the Keokuk Chiefs and lost 57-43. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Chiefs 14-9 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Jadyn Climer, who posted 21 points along with seven boards and five steals. Climer continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Keokuk, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hamilton Cardinals challenge the Palmyra Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keokuk has already played their next game, a 57-43 victory against West Hancock on the 16th.
