After a string of four wins, Florence's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northland Pines Eagles. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14.

Ashlyn VanDenHeuvel paced Florence's offense, picking up five kills. VanDenHeuvel got some help from Kelsi Chrisman and her eight assists.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Northland Pines, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Florence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Pembine/Goodman on the 4th. As for Northland Pines, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Lakeland on the 4th.
