Mariposa County not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 40-0). They put the hurt on the Big Valley Christian Lions with a sharp 35-14 victory. This was payback for the Grizzlies, who suffered a 35-12 loss the last time these two teams met.

Mariposa County can attribute much of their success to Rusty Bull, who rushed for 47 yards and a pair of scores.

Mariposa County's record now sits at 2-0. As for Big Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mariposa County will face off against Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. After each having a week off, Big Valley Christian and West Valley will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
