Mariposa County not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 40-0). They blew past the Big Valley Christian Lions 35-14. For the Grizzlies, this counts as revenge for the 35-12 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Mariposa County can attribute much of their success to Rusty Bull, who rushed for 47 yards and a pair of scores.

Mariposa County's record now sits at 2-0. As for Big Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mariposa County will face off against Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. After each having a week off, Big Valley Christian and West Valley will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on September 12.
