Softball Game Preview: Salem Quakers vs. Crestview Rebels

Salem has gone a perfect 4-0 against Crestview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Quakers will head out on the road to face off against the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Crestview took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Salem, who comes in off a win.

Salem took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Columbiana, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Quakers came out on top against the Clippers on Monday by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Quakers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Crestview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-0 to Maplewood.

Makayla Mckee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.

Crestview's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Salem, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Salem skirted past Crestview 5-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Quakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
