Football Recap: Omak Pioneers vs. Mt. Baker Mountaineers

While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Mountaineers are ranked 19th).
Despite the loss, Omak still got an impressive performance from Payton Smith, who rushed for 135 yards and one score.
Toga Tigilau was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 40 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 115 yards and one TD. Those 40 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Brice Cooper was another key player, rushing for 95 yards on only ten carries.
Omak's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Mt. Baker, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
