Baseball Game Preview: Stanley-Boyd Orioles vs. Augusta Beavers

The Stanley-Boyd Orioles are taking a road trip to face off against the Augusta Beavers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Stanley-Boyd and four for Augusta.

Stanley-Boyd lost 15-3 to Bloomer on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Augusta came up short against Eleva-Strum on Thursday, falling 15-1. That's two games in a row now that the Beavers have lost by exactly 14 runs.

Augusta saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Schroeder, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Schroeder's first of the season.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Stanley-Boyd, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Stanley-Boyd took their win against Augusta in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Orioles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
