Basketball Recap: Lakeview Finds Home Court Redemption Against Hubbard

There's no place like home for Lakeview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They took down the Hubbard Eagles 58-40 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Eagles two weeks ago, they had to take a 46-40 defeat.

Hubbard lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Claire Murphy, who posted ten points and four steals. Murphy has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Mcelroy, who put up six points and seven boards.

Lakeview's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Hubbard, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Lakeview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-31 victory against East on the 18th. Hubbard has also already played their next matchup, a 59-57 win against McKinley on the 23rd.
