Football Recap: Carver Birmingham Falls Short of St. Clair County in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carver Birmingham can now relate to. They took a hard 41-22 fall against the St. Clair County Fighting Saints on Friday.

Carver Birmingham lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was De'Jarvis Wade Ll, who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns. Carver Birmingham also got a significant boost from Kentrell Tolbert, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 131 yards.

A big part of St. Clair County's win came down to the chemistry between Landyn Smith and his top target Joshua Douthard. Smith threw for 371 yards and three TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes while Douthard gained 193 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Douthard a new career-high in receiving yards (188).

Carver Birmingham's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for St. Clair County, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Carver Birmingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Clair County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 42-6 defeat against Scottsboro on the 14th.
