Minnetonka lost to Moorhead back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Skippers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Spuds 6-4.

Minnetonka let Juliam Lunzer and Humphreys Miles run wild. Lunzer went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Miles went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those hits were Miles' first of the season.

Minnetonka was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moorhead only posted a batting average of .222.

Minnetonka's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Moorhead, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Minnetonka will welcome Stillwater at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Moorhead, they will venture away from home to challenge Sheyenne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
