Basketball Recap: Triplains/Brewster Takes a Loss

Triplains/Brewster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 42-25 bruising from the Western Plains Bobcats. The Titans were not able to make up for their loss to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in February.

Western Plains' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madelyn Kraus, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Kraus is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Briand, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and six steals.

Triplains/Brewster's record now sits at 0-3. As for Western Plains, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triplains/Brewster will take on Greeley County in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Plains, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Western Plains Bobcats take on the Pawnee Heights Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Plains is facing Pawnee Heights at the right time seeing as Pawnee Heights is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
