Basketball Game Preview: Huffman Vikings vs. Parker Thundering Herd + How To Watch

Huffman is 9-1 against Parker since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Thundering Herd at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Huffman's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Parker has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Huffman saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They took a hard 63-47 fall against Vestavia Hills.

Despite their loss, Huffman saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Antonio Hill, who shot 43% from the field en route to 16 points and six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The matchup was Hill's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Sanders, who posted ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Parker came up short against Hayden on Tuesday and fell 53-45.

Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Huffman, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Huffman came out on top in a nail-biter against Parker when the teams last played back in November of 2024, sneaking past 69-67. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thundering Herd turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
