After each having a week off, the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs and the Shelton Chargers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 834 yards in their previous games.

McKinney Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cody Dow led the charge by rushing for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 156 yards and three TDs. Those 122 rushing yards gave Dow a new career-high. Angel Rivera was another key back, gaining 139 total yards and three touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: McKinney Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Shelton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Newman International Academy to the tune of 49-14 last Friday. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.
Shelton's win came from a few key players McKinney Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Max Boul, who rushed for 148 yards and three scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Myers, who rushed for 69 yards and three TDs on only five carries.
McKinney Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Shelton, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3.
