Softball Recap: Ben Holt College Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Ben Holt College Prep Academy lost against St. Mary on April 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bobcats fell 11-7 to the Rams.

Julieann Drulias was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Adryana Young made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Tasawur Yusufzai, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Ben Holt College Prep Academy's record is now 7-7. As for St. Mary's, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-12 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ben Holt College Prep Academy will venture away from home to challenge Aspire Langston Hughes Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.75 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Mary's, they will head out to take on Lodi at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flames' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
