Volleyball Recap: Wayzata Falls Short Against Ranked Lakeville South

Wayzata faced Lakeville South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Trojans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wayzata's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Lakeville South, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayzata will welcome Mounds View at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakeville South, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northfield at 5:00 p.m.
