Basketball Recap: Richards Comes Up Short

Richards was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Oak Lawn Spartans, falling 73-40. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 560th, while the Spartans are ranked 128th).

Richards' loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Oak Lawn, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.

Richards has already played their next match, a 66-44 win against Chicago Washington on the 1st. As for Oak Lawn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-60 defeat against Chicago Mt. Carmel on the 2nd.
