Preview: Holy Cross Crusaders vs. Kennedy Eagles
The Holy Cross Crusaders will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Kennedy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Holy Cross pushed their score all the way to 67 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (92-67), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Meanwhile, Kennedy was the victim of a rough 74-51 defeat at the hands of Waterbury Career Academy on Wednesday. Kennedy has not had much luck with Waterbury Career Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Holy Cross now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Kennedy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
Holy Cross strolled past Kennedy when the teams last played back in January by a score of 65-47. Does Holy Cross have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kennedy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
