Baseball Game Preview: Percy Julian Phoenix vs. Carver Montgomery Wolverines

The Percy Julian Phoenix will head out on the road to take on the Carver Montgomery Wolverines at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Percy Julian has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with nine straight defeats, while Carver Montgomery will come in with three straight wins.

The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Chance Jackson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Carver Montgomery always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .793. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive games.

Percy Julian's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Carver Montgomery, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Percy Julian skirted past Carver Montgomery 5-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Percy Julian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
