After a string of five wins, the Kelso Hilanders's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were the victim of a rough 87-61 defeat at the hands of North Thurston. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (60), Kelso still had to take the loss.
North Thurston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ray Adams, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Sheeran, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 assists.
Kelso's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5. As for North Thurston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.
