University gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Valley Vikings. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven games in a row.

Will Korby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Max Davis, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since April 4th. Isaac Dellinger was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

University pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Valley, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

University wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-0 win against Platte Valley on the 1st. As for Valley, they will challenge Forge Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fury's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
