Softball Game Preview: Conard Red Wolves vs. E.O. Smith/Tolland Bucks

The Conard Red Wolves will face off against the E.O. Smith/Tolland Bucks at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Conard is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Conard barely beat Maloney the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Wolves were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Spartans on Wednesday. Considering the Red Wolves have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, E.O. Smith/Tolland was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They fell just short of Waterford by a score of 3-2. The loss put an end to the Bucks' undefeated start to the season.

Conard's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for E.O. Smith/Tolland, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
