Softball Recap: Palisades Comes Up Short at Home Against North Gaston

Palisades unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 17-12 to the North Gaston Wildcats on Monday.

Sanaa Dorsey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Rushin, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Even though they lost, Palisades kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Palisades beat North Gaston by a score of 5-1 on Tuesday.
