Football Recap: Archbishop Curley Comes Up Short

Archbishop Curley fell victim to St. Paul and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 21-0. The Friars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Archbishop Curley lost, don't look at Mike Cutchember. Despite the final result, he rushed for 112 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Archbishop Curley and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for St. Paul's, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Meanwhile, St. Paul's will take on rival Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Crusaders their first taste of in-conference action this season.
