Basketball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks and fell 65-23. The Indians lost against the Thunderhawks in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 44-33 score last time.

St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Golden Plains the next time they take the court. St. Francis will host Golden Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Wheatland-Grinnell will head out to face them on Friday.
