Softball Recap: Texas Wind Comes Up Short

Texas Wind lost to Stephenville FAITH back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Texas Wind fell just short of Stephenville FAITH by a score of 14-13. Texas Wind has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Makayla Lipoufski was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Jenna Thompson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.

Texas Wind's loss dropped their record down to 9-14-1. As for Stephenville FAITH, they moved to 7-12 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Texas Wind will take on Bishop Reicher Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something Texas Wind will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Stephenville FAITH, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Gorman at 6:00 p.m.
